All drop-offs will be from 8:30am - 11:30am at Universal Storage Solutions at Woodhill Shopping Center behind Target on Garners Ferry. For the first drop off, they are accepting books, toys, clothes, and items for the Trinkets & Treasurers Booth. Please box all items and label by booth for easy storage. 2014 Bazaar Grants' Recipients Announced
Thank you to all the thoughtful members of Trinity who nominated very worthy local nonprofit organizations to receive proceeds from the 2014 Trinity Bazaar. After conducting site visits and thorough deliberation, the Bazaar Grants Committee has chosen the following five nonprofit organizations:
Gravatt Camp and Conference Center, which is a sanctuary for ministry for the faith formation, hospitality, leadership development and environmental stewardship, as well as a meeting place for churches, nonprofit organizations, and other businesses. This grant will help update one building of cottage rooms at the conference center.
The Barclay School, whose mission is to provide a rich, diverse curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment. Holistic approach honors the whole child. The Barclay school currently have seven full- time students and one part-time, all with disabilities. This grant will be used to purchase a small school bus/mini-van for field trips and to support “Bunnies Brew” prevocational program.
Killingsworth Home for Women whose mission is to support, empower and advocate for women recovering from various life crises within a safe, nurturing, Christian environment. This grant will help expand their Work Support Program.
Healthy Learners whose mission is to meet the unmet health needs of children from low-income working families. This grant will help cover direct costs of medical fees and transportation costs for children in need in the Midlands.
St. Lawrence Place whose mission is to provide support services, life skills, and transitional housing to enable homeless families with children to achieve independent living as productive members of the community. This grant will be used for Adult Support Services.
