The Church calls us to mark the season of Lent with study and prayer. Taking part in a book study is an excellent way to engage this discipline. This Lent, the people of Trinity will have the opportunity to join with others for Trinity's Lenten Read. Beginning the week of February 26 and continuing for six weeks, groups will meet at various times and days, choosing among three books for discussion. The groups will have 8-12 members and meet for one hour, beginning with prayer and then proceeding to conversation about the book. These groups offer a great way for folks to get to know others in our parish in addition to the pleasure of lively discussion of an important text.
The three books are:
"The Future of Faith" by Harvey Cox
"A New Kind of Christianity" by Brian D. McLaren
"Gospel Medicine" by Barbara Brown Taylor
