Cemetery Family Burial Site
In order to be eligible for burial in a family burial site, it is required that the deceased be a member or former member of Trinity Cathedral Parish, or a spouse of a member or former member, and the deceased or his or her spouse be a lieneal descendant of the original grantee of the gravesite. In the absense of a lineal descendant of the original grantee, a collateral descendant or ascendant of the original grantee shall be eligible for burial in the family burial site. It is required for any collateral descendant or ascendant to be a member or former member of Trinity Cathedral Parish.
Cemetery Cremation Plots
In order to be eligible to be buried in cremations plots in the cemetery, it is required that the deceased be a member or former member of Trinity Cathedral Parish, or a spouse of a member, or former member. In exceptional cases, other Episcopalians and spouses may be considered for burial upon written approval by the gravesite committee and vestry.
Plots that are designated on a cremation plat of the cemetery are available for purchase of easements for cremation lots for a two by two (2x2) foot plot which can be used for single or double internment. Cremation plot monuments shall not exceed 12 inches in height, 20 inches in width (left to right), or 20 inches in depth (front to back).
Columbarium
In order to be eligible to be eligible for burial in the Columbarium, it is required that the deceased be a member or former member of Trinity Cathedral Parish, or a spouse of a member, or former member. In exceptional cases, other Episcopalians and spouses may be considered for burial upon written approval by the gravesite committee and vestry.
Niches in the Columbarium that are designated on a plat, kept at the Cathedral office are available for purchase of easement for cremations urns for a single or double interment. Columbarium niches measure 12x12x24 (inches). If multiple burials of ashes are planned, special consideration must be given in selecting the size of required containers to assure the dimensions are within the allowable space.
