In October, 2008, Trinity's Tidings newsletter began a serialized history of Trinity Parish.  These installments were written by Dr. Walter Edgar, a member of the University of South Carolina history faculty, director of the USC Institute for Southern Studies, and a Trinity parishioner.  Dr. Edgar is the author of South Carolina: A History, the encyclopaedic history of the Palmetto State published in 1998, and host of a popular interview program, Walter Edgar's Journal, on South Carolina Public Radio.  The history of Trinity is a work in progress; new chapters will appear first in Tidings, and will subsequently be added to this page.
