Hurricane Florence Updates

As your leaders have continued to watch forecasts and consult with other Midlands churches, we have decided to hold one service this Sunday. We will worship in the Cathedral at 11:15. All other Sunday services and formation opportunities have been canceled. The service will be simpler but nevertheless meaningful. Please come out only if it is safe to do so.

We plan to stream the service live from our Facebook page beginning at 11:15 am online here.

There will be no formation Sunday and the Sunday breakfast is canceled. There will be no youth Sunday school or EYC. There will be no Sunday nursery. There will be a simple liturgy preparation in the Daughters Room during the 11:15 service.

The Bazaar Drop-off that was scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been cancelled

If you have a special need or request in the coming days, you can contact us at 803.771.7300, and leave a message or use the after-hours emergency line. See further contact information below.

Any future cancellations, updates or revised schedules will be posted online here and on our Facebook and Instagram feeds.

Hurricane Response

There will be a variety of ways for Trinity to be involved in responding to the needs of those affected by Hurricane Florence, both locally and beyond:

  • The Episcopal Diocese of Upper SC has a Disaster Response trailer. Volunteers will be needed to help if this trailer is deployed. We could be deployed locally or towards more coastal areas, and the work could range from clearing trees to demolition. Are you interested or available?
  • St. Luke’s Episcopal has been identified as a Harvest Hope distribution site. They will need volunteers to help with food distribution. Are you interested or available?
  • Harvest Hope needs non-perishable food donations. Please deliver directly to Harvest Hope or bring them to Trinity.
  • Trinity has facility resources that may allow us to assist in supporting first responders and disaster response (hosting first responders, storing supplies, etc.). We may need volunteers to help in a variety of ways, from doing the laundry of first responders to delivering food and meals. As needs arise, we will communicate those.
  • Volunteers may be needed to check in with our home bound parishioners
  • What resources and relationships do you have that could be helpful in hurricane response?

If you are interested or available to assist in Trinity’s hurricane response, please contact the Rev'd Canon Dorian Del Priore at:
