2014 Trinity Bazaar Final Report

The 2014 Trinity Bazaar was a great success and raised $37,744 to support local agencies and several missions endorsed by the Daughters of the Holy Cross. Killingsworth Home for Women, Gravatt Camp and Conference Center, St. Lawrence Place, Healthy Learners and The Barclay School each received grants from 2014 Trinity Bazaar proceeds.  The Bazaar Grants Committee, along with the Executive Committee of the Daughters of Holy Cross and the Co-Chairs of the 2014 bazaar, selected these five organizations that came from our yearly open call for nominations.

The Daughters of the Holy Cross also supported each of the three Episcopal Church Women missions with a gift.  The world mission of Campaign for Cange and the Emergency Fund, the national mission of the National Cathedral, and the local mission of the Bishop’s Public Education Initiative each received a gift.

In addition, the Daughters of the Holy Cross supported several standing missions that are yearly designations. Gifts were given to the Finlay House, the Heathwood Hall Rural Mission Project, Still Hopes and the Trinity Housing Corporation/St. Lawrence Place.

It is because of the tremendous amount of time, energy and dedication of countless volunteers, led by wonderful 2014 Bazaar Co-Chairs, Mills James, Allison Aitchison and Nell Brennan, and the hundreds of patrons who shop the Bazaar that the Daughters of the Holy Cross is able to provide these very generous gifts to so many worthy organizations. All members of Trinity should be very proud of this support for our community.
