2008-2009 Youth Events

Trinity’s youth ministry offers a rich array of programs meant to build and nurture faithful Christian life and experience. Our programs are also meant to create the environment where our youth and their friends can experience the depth of God’s love. We endeavor to meet every Sunday evening at the Trinity Center for Mission and Ministry, a restaurant or in a parishioner’s home. But wherever we meet, we enjoy great fellowship and have the best of fun. 

Retreat
Trinity offers a weekend retreat for the Junior EYC in the Fall. The retreats are meant to continue with our work of building a strong community of faithful Christians. This past September, the Junior EYC went on their retreat at Camp Awanita, SC. The Senior EYC will go on their weekend retreat in the Spring.  
 

Ski-Trip
Trinity’s offers a yearly ski retreat to the beautiful snow mountains of West Virginia. We usually depart from Trinity on Friday evening, ski, snowboard and tube all day Saturday and half-day Sunday and return to Columbia on Sunday evening. Ski retreats are part fun and part spiritual, next year we hope to introduce Eucharistic service as part of our retreat. 
 

Wednesday Morning Breakfast
During the school year, Trinity’s youth meet every Wednesday morning for breakfast and fellowship at the Holey Dough Cafe in Trenholm Plaza. This event is very casual and unstructured. We just meet to chit-chat. This event is open to mebers of Senior EYC.
