As practicing Christians know, "God's time" can be different than what we hope for or expect. During the transition, please pray for our clergy and staff, the vestry, and search committee. Prayer for Discerning and Calling of a Cathedral Dean
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously upon your Church, especially
Trinity Cathedral, that the hearts and minds of those who shall prayerfully discern, and
call the next dean of this cathedral, may be guided by the power of your Holy Spirit, and
that we may receive a faithful pastor, priest, and teacher; with a passion for unity,
mission and grace, who will care for your people, and move us to continue living into
the love of Christ, so that those who worship and serve you in this place may find Christ
living in us, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

June 6, 2025 - Nominations open for search committee members. All nominations must be received through the form linked in the sidebar by June 30, 2025. Eligible nominees will receive an additional questionnaire to complete by Monday, July 7, 2025. A final panel of 12 committee members will be selected by the search committee chair, wardens, and vestry representatives, and presented to the full vestry for approval at the July 24 meeting.
May 22, 2025 - Llewellyn Shealy was named chair of the dean search committee by the executive committee of the vestry.
May 18, 2025 - Dean Boston's last day at Trinity
March 28, 2025 - The wardens of Trinity Cathedral announced to the parish that the Very Rev'd Dane E. Boston, dean of Trinity Cathedral, accepted a call to serve as the fifth rector of St. Martin’s Church in Houston, Texas.
