Hours:

full time, exempt

Reports to: The Sub-Dean

Position Description: Under the direct supervision of the Sub-Dean, the Facilities Manager oversees all activities associated with facilities and ground in regard to maintenance, repair and construction.

Regular Duties:

  • In coordination with the Director for Parish Life, direct, inspect and resource sextons for facility maintenance and repair
  • Oversee the HVAC calendar and communicate with the vendor
  • Oversee facilities service providers, and vendors
  • Procure and maintain service contracts for equipment
  • Oversee facilities projects (repair, maintenance, and construction)
  • Oversee the Churchyard, including activities associated with the sale of cremation plots and columbarium spaces, engraving of markers, and overall Churchyard maintenance
  • Oversee the scheduling of security guards and police officers for events and services
  • Oversee the scheduling of the janitorial services
  • Attend and recourse Property Committee meetings

Occasional Duties:

  • Additional projects or duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Clear and cordial verbal and written communications skills with Parishioners, community members, vendors, and Cathedral Staff.
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance, Realm (Church) software, Google suite platforms and Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Ability to manage and work well with vendors and service providers.
  • Ability to multi-task and work self-directed.
  • Ability to analyze and implement requirements/changes.

Compensation, Benefits, and Leave: 

Commensurate with experience and the Cathedral Personnel Policy, with pension contribution and individual health insurance coverage.
