Part-time Clerical/Administrative Position

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral as part of its ministries is seeking a part-time clerical/administrative assistant to work directly with the Trinity Foundation to assist with mailings, email communications, telephone calls, gift acknowledgements, records management, preparation of meeting documents (agendas, minutes, handouts, etc.) event planning, and other duties deemed helpful by the Foundation President and Board. Applicants must be proficient using Microsoft  Excel and Word and must be willing to learn the database software used by Trinity Cathedral. The position is a part-time position (2 hour per day, four days per week, plus an average of 8 hours per month to attend Board and Development Committee meetings and work with meeting documents). Time will be allocated equitably with flexibility to enable the assistant to meet personal and Foundation needs.

The ideal candidate for the clerical/administrative position

  • will have a basic understanding of Trinity Cathedral, its culture, and it membership.
  • can work collaboratively with the Foundation President, Board members, Development Consultant, and Trinity staff.
  • must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • understands the criticality of confidentiality in working with memorials and bequests in estate planning.
  • will have good computer, information, and records management skills.
  • has good organizational and decision-making skills.
  • must be committed to and enthusiastic about Trinity Cathedral and the Trinity Foundation.

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred as is three years of clerical or administrative experience. The position ultimately reports to the Dean of Trinity Cathedral.
