A Message from our 2021 Stewardship Chairs: JP and Clark Lee
Dear Friends,
Beginning in March, our lives changed in extraordinary ways. The pandemic altered how we’re able to work, eat, gather, serve, and worship. Trinity’s physical campus closed, but clergy and parishioners stepped forward to ensure the vital work of ministry continued.
This year’s Annual Giving theme, Freewill Offerings, is based on Ezra Chapter 2, Verses 68-69, that speak to the image of Israel’s return from exile and renewal of the covenant, and offerings the heads of the families of Israel made for the restoration and rebuilding of the temple upon their return. We felt this vision was appropriate for this year’s Stewardship Campaign as we hope to return to the fullness of in-person worship and call a new Dean for Trinity.
Financial support, in the form of a pledge to Trinity, is an essential component of our ability to carry out the work of the church. Whether we gather for worship inside our building or online, we continue to be the body of Christ through our ministries, our witness, and our care for one another.
We cannot know what lies ahead of us, but we remain confident in the assurance of God’s abiding and steadfast love. Because of your generous and faithful gift commitment, our church is able to keep doing what love requires of us by nurturing life-giving, joyful ministries both inside and outside our parish walls.
Your past financial support has been crucial to the work of our church. Now, as we begin this year’s Stewardship campaign, we hope we can count on you again. Please prayerfully consider increasing your annual pledge. Or, if you have given to Trinity in the past but have not pledged, please make a pledge this year. Your increased support will allow us to continue to sustain and grow our ministries, extend our reach, share God’s love with even more people, and would be one of the greatest gifts we could offer to our new Dean.
We hope that you will join others in our congregation in doing what love requires for today and for tomorrow by making an increased financial commitment by October 25, 2020, in time for the Blessing of Pledges on November 1, 2020.
If you have any questions, or would like to further discuss making a financial pledge to Trinity Cathedral, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with either of us or Canon Andrew Grosso.
Sincerely in Christ,
JP and Clark Lee
