Lenten Offerings in 2020

There are many opportunities to grow your faith during Lent at Trinity. Please follow the links below to learn more about each offering.

Lenten Speaker Series: starting March 4th, we will have a speaker at 12:30 and 6:30 each Wednesday in Satterlee Hall, and meals will be offered as well. Click here to view the lineup and register for lunch or supper.

Compline: join us for Compline, a service sung by candlelight on Thursday evenings at 8 pm during Lent. Compline features a cappella music and prayers, and has a 25-minute runtime. Compline will be offered on 2/27, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19 and 3/26.

Centering Prayer: What is centering prayer, how did it begin, and what are the benefits of it in your daily life? If learning about centering prayer interests you, please click here to find out more about this exciting new offering at Trinity on Sundays at 5 pm in the Admin Conference room. This series will begin on February 23.

Make Taize Worship Part of Your Lenten Observance: During the season of Lent (beginning February 23), the service that’s held in Keenan Chapel on Sunday afternoons will look a little different than it has in recent months. At 6 pm, there will be a celebration of the Holy Eucharist (Rite II); this will be a simple, quiet service that will not include any music or singing. At 6:30 pm, there will be a Taizé service that will include meditative singing and opportunities for contemplative prayer and reflection; this service will not include Holy Communion. This schedule is intended to provide both those who routinely worship at the 6 pm service as well as those who routinely worship on Sunday mornings with the opportunity to make Taizé worship part of their Lenten observance. Click here for more about Taize. If you have any questions about this schedule, please contact Canon Grosso (agrosso@trinitysc.org) or Laura Rosier (lrosier@trinitysc.org).
