Lent, Holy Week and Easter 2025

From the quiet reflections of Lent, to the solemn remembrances of Holy Week, and finally to the joyful triumph of Easter Sunday, this is a season rich in meaning and tradition. We hope you will find personal and spiritual significance in these 40 days. We invite you to learn more and experience something new in the upcoming services and contemplative spaces we will offer. 

Shrove Tuesday 

March 4, 2025
Pancake supper, 5:30 p.m. in Satterlee Hall, followed by games on the Cathedral Lawn
$10 per person. Proceeds support the youth pilgrimage to Ecuador. 

Ash Wednesday 

March 5, 2025

  • Holy Eucharist and imposition of ashes at 8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Cathedral. Livestream available at 6:30 p.m.
  • Children's instructive service with Holy Eucharist and imposition of ashes at 5:00 p.m. in Cart Courtyard (Keenan Chapel if raining)
  • Labyrinth available throughout the day in Satterlee Hall for private prayer and meditation

Choral Compline 

Thursdays, March 6 through April 10 at 8:00 p.m. in the Cathedral. Watch the livestream.

Maundy Thursday - April 17, 2025

  • Children's foot-washing and Eucharist at 5:00 p.m. in Cart Courtyard and Keenan Chapel
  • Soup supper at 5:30 p.m. in Satterlee Hall
  • Proper Liturgy for Maundy Thursday with foot-washing, the Institution of the Eucharist, and Stripping of the Altar at 6:30 p.m. in the Cathedral. Livestream available.
  • All-night vigil at the Altar of Repose, Seibels Chapel in the Cathedral (through Friday matins)
  • Labyrinth available throughout the day in Satterlee Hall for private prayer and meditation


Good Friday - April 18, 2025

  • Matins at 8:30 a.m. in the Cathedral
  • Three-hours’ devotion 12:00-3:00 p.m. in the Cathedral. Watch the livestream.
  • Stations of the Cross for children and families at 5:00 p.m. in Cart Courtyard
  • Proper Liturgy for Good Friday with Communion from the Reserved Sacrament at 6:30 p.m. in the Cathedral.  Livestream available.

Holy Saturday - April 19

  • Children’s Easter egg-dying at 9:00 a.m. in Cart Courtyard
  • Proper Liturgy for Holy Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Cathedral
  • The Great Vigil of Easter with Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist at 6:30 p.m. in the Cathedral.  Livestream available.
  • Parish Easter Party following the Vigil in Satterlee Hall

 

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 20, 2025

  • Holy Eucharist at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in Keenan Chapel
  • Easter services at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. in the Cathedral.  Livestream available at 11:00 a.m. service.
  • Festal Evensong at 4:00 p.m. in the Cathedral.  Livestream available.

 

Easter Week

The Trinity parish offices will be closed on Monday, April 21, 2025. In addition, all regularly scheduled services, meetings, classes and events will be suspended through April 26, 2025.
