Rooted in Love

Rooted in Love

Throughout this year’s season of Lent, the clergy of both Trinity Cathedral and the diocesan staff will offer a series of short daily meditations designed to provide members of Trinity with opportunities to reflect on their relationship with Christ.  These meditations will be based on Rooted in Love: Lent Reflections on Life in Christ, a recently released book edited by the Right Reverend and Right Honourable Sarah Mullally, the Bishop of London. Click here to read more, or purchase a copy.

Each weekday, a new meditation will be posted on Trinity’s website (they'll be linked here on this page). Each meditation will be only seven to ten minutes in length, and will explore the themes introduced in one or another of the chapters included in Rooted in Love.  It will not be necessary to read along in Rooted in Love in order to benefit from these meditations, but the book is readily available for anyone wishing to acquire a copy.

You are invited to make these meditations part of your observance of the season of Lent.  Read a portion of the scriptures each day, spend a few moments in prayer, engage in acts of mercy and service, and reflect on the lessons these meditations offer, and you will find yourself moving deeper into your relationship with God through Christ and his Spirit.
