Worship and Covid-19

This is a very different time for the people of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and the world. As of August 2020, we have resumed in-person worship. Pre-registration is required each week. Here is an overview of how we will operate in terms of worship and other activities during this time.

Please note, while it is our goal to always provide the most up-to-date information as possible, this information may change quickly as the situation surrounding the virus continues to change rapidly. It is always a good idea to bookmark our site and check back often for updates.

In-person Worship Schedule

We are holding two Holy Eucharist Rite II services each week, one at 9 am and another at 11 am each Sunday. Pre-registration is required, and the links are sent at noon on Wednesday each week. Registration closes on Friday at 10 am each week as well. To opt-in to the registation emails, contact Jessica Umbach to add your name to the email list.

Virtual Worship Schedule

We will offer a few different opportunities for virtual worship both during the week and on Sundays. We will stream these services to our website at trinitysc.org/live as well as our Facebook page: facebook.com/TrinityCathedralSC, and they will be stored after they air on our site here.

Children's and Youth Offerings

There are many opportunties for your children to continue to stay connected virtually with Trinity. Click here to view the Children's and Families Ministry page, and click here to view the Youth Ministry page.

Music at Trinity

Even though our choirs cannot meet in person during this time, they are still finding creative ways to practice and meet together virtually. They have even found creative ways to record and share performances with the congregation while each choir person is at home - click here to view one of their videos that was recently shared.

Opportunities for Pastoral Care

Whether you are in need of support or you would like to lend a helping hand, Trinity has resources for you. With the fast-moving pace of closures and frequently changing rules regarding in-person contact, we are still working on our strategy for supporting and reaching out to our parishioners and community. Please check back here for more information coming soon.

Financial Support for Trinity

Throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trinity Cathedral will continue to be a community that supports people in their efforts to cultivate their relationship with God and with one another.  Times of extraordinary need call for extraordinary faithfulness.

One very important way you can participate in the mission and ministries of the Cathedral during this challenging time is to continue supporting Trinity financially. Trinity’s Finance Office has put together a new Text to Give service that makes it very easy for you to submit your financial offerings. Whether it’s during the offertory that’s part of our virtual service at 10 am on Sundays or any time during the week you feel called to give, our goal is to make it easy for you to do so with this new service. Please click here to learn more about Text to Give.

Dedicated COVID-19 Resource Page

We want our parishioners to be informed about what is going on not only at Trinity, but also in the Diocese and the world. Click here to access our dedicated COVID-19 resource page, where we will link to letters from Bishop Waldo, updates from the CDC, and more.
