Worship at Columbia’s Trinity Episcopal Cathedral

We welcome everyone to join in worship at Trinity. Worship is the center of Christian life and everything we do as a community of faith – learning and formation, parish activities, missions, and community outreach - comes out of the experience we share in divine worship.

All services follow the Book of Common Prayer and the Revised Common Lectionary, with sermons by Cathedral clergy  Our Sunday schedule provides an opportunity to worship using a variety of Rites and styles in the Episcopal tradition. We invite you to worship at your Cathedral.

Sunday Cathedral Services

For more information about attending worship in-person during the covid pandemic, click here.

Through Sunday, Sept 5:

8 am Holy Eucharist Rite I - An in-person, said eucharist service held in our Cathedral.

10 am Livestream - Our Holy Eucharist Rite II in-person service is also livestreamed at trinitysc.org/live and on our Facebook page.

10 am Holy Eucharist Rite II - An in-person, choral eucharist service held in the Cathedral.

As of Sunday, Sept 12 our service times and descriptions are as follows:

7:30 am Holy Eucharist (said):  This Rite I service, held in the Cathedral, is more contemplative in nature and a perfect way to begin a Sunday.

9 am & 11 am Holy Eucharist (choral):  These in-person, Holy Eucharist services are held in the Cathedral. Our 9 am service includes Liturgy Preparation for our young children (ages 4 through 2nd grade).  Our 11 am service will be livestreamed on our site and on Facebook, and showcases the glories of our Anglican choral tradition.

10 am: Formation for all ages. In light of the fact that our youngest members are not yet vaccinated, for the time being we will be offering a single Formation gathering for all ages on the Lawn (weather permitting) between the 9 and 11 am services each week. These intergenerational gatherings will be fun, faith-filled, and COVID-safe for all!

4 pm Evensong: Evensong returns this fall, and will continue to be sung in-person as well as livestreamed each Sunday at 4 pm in the Cathedral. Evensong features the beautiful combination of prayer, readings, and music.
